2.5 weeks ago I wrote about getting serious about my fitness. How did I do? um…. yeah. about that.
9/26-10/2
- Tuesday – I headed to Nike speed run (see picture proof)
- Friday – Lifted – it wasn’t pretty but I did it
10/3- 10/9
- Monday – Power lifted with my coach for the last time at Bucktown Crossfit because he’s opening his own gym (Congrats Dave!)
- Rest of week – Went on a 6 day vacation. I did a lot of walking during my sight-seeing. It may or may not have compensated for all the New England food I ate.
10/10-present
- *crickets*
OK! So now that I am back to reality, I want to make an addition to my workout routine (because I’ve been SO great at keeping up with what I already have). During the most tempting time of the year, I am going to go sober through the holidays! This will include no alcohol or sweets through Jan 1st. I will allow myself 4 cheat days: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve.
While weight loss is nice, I want to challenge myself to kick-start healthy habits. If I can get through the next 2.5 months, staying focus on healthy eating habits and working out, I can get through anything. The alcohol won’t be that big of a challenge. No sugar…that’s like taking away my happiness. Let’s hope I can last until the end of the week.
Wish me luck!
